 음색 또는 음악에서 간단히 "색상"이라고도 하는 음색은 같은 음량으로 같은 음조를 연주할 때에도 서로 다른 악기나 목소리를 구별할 수 있게 해주는 소리의 특성입니다. 즉 기타는 피아노와 다른 소리를, 트럼펫은 색소폰과 다른 소리를 내는 것입니다.
